Banana in her cast

Well, it has been a week since Banana broke her leg after jumping from a visitor's arms. She is getting around pretty well in her cast. She sure hates it though. She has to keep it on for at least 3 weeks, better if it makes it to 5 weeks..... Then I've read on-line about them breaking it again from becoming too frisky too soon..... I hate to crate her like they say to do, but I want her to heal properly. We've temporarily re-named her Mastercard as we weren't ready for this, there goes the tractor tires; I guess I can baby the tractor for a while longer..... Of course if chunks keep falling off of them I'll have to put it in a cast too.....
The Alpacas are having a ball in these cooler temperatures, Last night Ben (the guardian dog) was acting like an Alpaca and PRONKING about right along with them as they played.
They are such fun to watch. Their pasture grass is disappearing rapidly, and they are eating much more Timothy now. Our budget is straining, but what else would we do with our money?
We certainly wouldn't want to take a vacation away from this paradise....
The Garden is doing wonders, there is so much stuff growing now. Becky took home some greens for salads at work and now we have a devoted "non-paying" customer.
Jeanne is simply thinning out stuff and has plenty to keep her in salads for the week.
This truck garden thing is working out very well. I know we invested a bit getting it up and going, but it has already been worth it.... Well, I'll write more as stuff happens.... Bob
