Yup, it does rain in Arizona

I got the Fence Posts concreted in next to the Greenhouse, and attached the Greenhouse to them with metal tape. I wanted to start putting on panels but the Garbage truck almost got stuck in the road so I had to get out there with the little red tractor and try to pull off as much silt as possible. I don't know if I mentioned it but our road is a direct path for water running off of the San Tan Mountains to the Sonoki Wash (which runs across the North West Corner of our property) Both of which create a mess at our corner every time it floods.
So, after about 4 hours of Bulldozing and then dragging with the Gannon Box Blade at least the part of the road bordering our parking area is somewhat solid. Now Jeanne's Hair Clients can get to our driveway without getting stuck in the sand. The Toy Tractor takes hours to do what My neighbor's Case Loader could do in minutes, but it is broke down at the moment.
So back to the Greenhouse. I attached one panel after a couple of hours trying to do what the instructions said to do using the spring clips. I finally just looked it over and realized that with a pair of needle nose pliers I could do the job rather easily. By then it was so hot I just let it go till later. This evening I got out there and installed the next panel without incident, but as I was peeling off the protective film on the next panel the Dust storm hit with a vengeance and I had to drop everything and secure the Garage so everything doesn't blow away. I did get to watch one of the Roof Vent Window Panels fly off and almost end up in the pool. There was mention that you could use some Clear Silicone Glue when attaching the panels. Ok, I guess I'll do that when I replace the Vent Window Panel. It should have been more like a directive than a suggestion.
Here I am now inside watching the trees whipping back and forth in the wind, and the smattering of rain make a mess of everything. Dust and Rain makes mud!
The Alpacas are out there standing in the rain enjoying themselves. Ben the guardian dog is hiding from the thunder under and behind the water trough in the Boy's barn.
All is right with the world..... Gob the kitty and I have this understanding where if he stays off the table I won't squirt him with water.... So far so good. He now attacks Wonderdog and tries to steal his milkbone, but Wonder is very protective of them..... We have been watching plenty of Gardening and Cooking related TV lately since I cancelled the Dish Network and went back to the Rooftop Antenna to watch Broadcast Digital TV for FREE!!!!! There is plenty to watch, and almost all of it is in Hi Def (also for FREE!!!!) The picture is fantastic. I strongly suggest looking into Broadcast TV if you can let go of the Movie Channels and stuff...... Besides, we are saving about $60 a month. The PBS station in our area is pretty much run by Arizona State University so there is some really good stuff to watch. More later...... Bob
